The Herb: Dill

                 The dill weed is a dark, fresh green plant and is an annual of the parsley family.  It also

                  relates to Anise, Caraway, Coriander, Cumin and Fennel.  The Dill weed and the dill

                  seed is being used for flavoring, however the weed is lighter and more subtle than the

                 seed.

                  Dill can be used in pickles, meat, seafood, cheeses and breads.  It is an important

                  flavoring in spice blends for salad dressings, curry blends and spices for pickling.  Dill

                  weed is originally from South Africa and Egypt.  India is well known for the growth of Dill

                  Seed.
